Before founding Spotwood Construction, Lawson earned his BA in Architecture from Kansas State University. He then spent two decades working as a project architect, owner’s representative, and construction manager for some of the most prestigious institutions in New York City. During this time, Lawson gained a sound understanding of project planning and execution, facilities maintenance, contract negotiation, schedule coordination, and project oversight. As an innovative and team-oriented professional, Lawson developed a genuine passion for transforming concepts into tangible realities and doing so, all while ensuring everyone involved has a positive experience. His ability to understand the client’s needs and adhere to requirements and deadlines while cultivating relationships is essential to achieving the project’s goals. When not working, you can often find Lawson spending time with his spouse and two young boys here in St. Louis, bike riding, walking the family dog (Lily) and cheering on the St. Louis Blues.
